Malia's Cafe

I came to Malias Cafe for breakfast with my family, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the beginning. It took quite a while for us to be seated, although once we were seated, we received our coffee fairly quickly and were able to place our food order.
The biggest issue was the extremely long wait for our food. After about 30 minutes had passed and our meals still hadn't arrived, I decided to order a blueberry muffin for my family to snack on while we continued waiting. Another 20 minutes went by, and I eventually had to ask the staff if the muffin was ready. It finally came out, but by that point, we were still waiting for our actual breakfast.
My two kids were becoming impatient and restless, which is completely understandable after sitting and waiting for so long. Meanwhile, my coffee had run out, and despite the long wait, no one came by to offer a refill or check on us.
After approximately 50 minutes of waiting, our food finally arrived. Unfortunately, after such a long wait, the food was nothing spectacular and did not feel worth the time we spent waiting.
Overall, the service and wait time really took away from what should have been a pleasant family breakfast. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but better communication and more attentive service would have made a big difference. I was hoping for a much better experience.

Went here for breakfast one morning. Frankly, it was mediocre all the way around. Service was “fine” but the staff seemed like they wanted to be anywhere but there. I don’t think I saw a smile on any of their faces. That’s typically related to management & unhappy staff. I had 2 eggs over easy(pretty tasteless and watery), hash browns requested extra crispy(they were extra brown but still not crispy & portions were super salty)rye toast(extra small?), a side of bacon(maybe my error as it was sweet and not crispy as maybe it had honey or syrup in it?) & coffee(was good).I had to ask for sugar packets as they were not refilled in the container on the table. There is nowhere to put the used sugar & creamer packaging so I just put it in back in the basket of stuff on the table so it didn’t blow off the table to the neighboring seagulls.when I was done, I did dig it back out to out on my plate for removal. Maybe a small covered container for refuse on the table too? My partner got eggs, sausage(meh) & the smallest English muffin we’ve ever seen. By the time he got to the second muffin, it was so hard, it was inedible. I will also say, the prices are not cheap but the experience was. Sorry, we were hoping we’d like it more.

Went to Malia's Cafe with my family and had a great experience. The food was good, the service was friendly, and the location close to the beach made it even better. We'd definitely go back!
