We came down to OC for the first time this weekend with our adult daughter. She wanted a lobster roll and we loved the look of the place so we came by. My husband had the crab roll and I had the chicken sandwich. All the food was absolutely amazing. My husband is a chef in the Waldorf Astoria and he was truly impressed. Matt and his family who own and run the place are fantastic. They are so warm and friendly. They came out and had a whole conversation with us. We will be back to OC AND Lizzie’s for sure. My fiancé has celiac and it is hard to find places to eat (he is also self conscious about it). The service here was phenomenal and they made sure to walk through their protocols of how they limit cross contamination (wiping table, water poured for him first, separate containers for food). When you order, they make sure to flag different allergies. They take celiac and all allergies seriously and want to make sure you have a safe experience. The crab grilled cheese was delicious and my fiancé was so excited to be able to have a meatball sub (as most meatballs have breadcrumbs — but these were gluten free). I am grateful we made the stop here and would definitely try more sandwiches!

Down here for my daughter’s senior week. I’m GF not celiac …. But it’s not a fun reaction if I eat it. ANYWAY… it’s been hard to find GF options here in OC. Well…. This place popped up on a search.

Food came out and it was EPIC. I had the crab roll on a GF bun, GF cornbread and GF pecan bar. Soooooo good. My friend who was with me is NOT GF, but loved all the options she tried too!!
