I was very excited to dine in at coastal salt after looking at the reviews . Unfortunately the service just let us down . Our server took our orders for the apps and he never made it back to our table again even though it wasn’t very crowded . We had to place the order for our mains with another server. Our server then made his presence and told us he “ assumed “ we were just getting apps because that’s what the other table did … huh ?? Is that an assumption you make during service at all tables ?
Anyways dinner was ok . I was really upset by the time we got our mains and didn’t click any pics . Food was ok . We’ve had better . I had the chicken and hubby had the crab cakes . We needed boxes to go but couldn’t find our server . At this point , we’d had enough and asked another server for boxes .
The restaurant is beautiful . The decor and ambience is lovely . I wish service was better and the review would be different for sure .

We thoroughly enjoyed eating at this restaurant. If you get a chance to go, ask for Danny! He is a wonderful server!! He welcomed us with a bright smile, and he continuously checked to see if we needed anything.
For starters, we had the fried deviled eggs. They are a must have for an appetizer! Then, I had the Flounder Fettuccini as my entree. It was very creamy and tasty. My husband had the Roasted Crab Cake entree. He was very pleased with how the crab cake was mostly crab meat with little filler. Also, he really enjoyed the mashed potatoes that came with it.
For dessert, we had the banana bread pudding with ice cream. That was one of the best desserts we’ve had in a while. The candied pecans on top of it were a pleasant surprise!

We had raw oysters. They were pretty good. Wings were ok. The flounder and pasta was not good at all. The stuffed flounder was dry and overcooked, and the sauce for the pasta was flavorless. Best part were the "Boardwalk Fries" that didn't come with vinegar.
